The Messerschmitt Me 262 was one of the most famous designs in the history of the world's aviation - it was a milestone in its development. Being the first jet-propelled fighter to be employed in combat, it opened a new era of the evolution of combat flying. Since many myths and legends have developed since the end of the WW2 about the history of its military use. Kagero has made an attempt in its "Air Miniatures" series to present a full picture of this legendary machine taking part in war operations. The series began with a book devoted tojagdgeschwader 7, the only Luftwaffe unit to be fully equipped with the Messerschmitt Me 262; the book was published in the spring of 2002. Now we present to the reader a work that deals with several other units which flew combat missions in Me 262s: Ekdo 262, Kommando Nowotny, III./EJG 2 and KG(J) 54 "Totenkopf". The last part of this trilogy will cover the combat employment of the Me 262 by the following units: JV 44, NAGr. 6, KG 51 'TdelweilT and several independent Geschwadern created ad hoc during the final weeks of the war. Along with descriptions of aerial fights, the reader will find here pilots' memoirs and reports submitted by people who were responsible for the introduction of the new design into combat units. All this shall not only let the reader learn about the course of this aircraft's combat activity, but it should also help them build an opinion of their own about the Luftwaffe legend which the Messerschmitt Me 262 undoubtedly was.
