This, however, need not depend on the first as it is an entity, though for personal and public libraries, the series will sell itself. This continues the modern approach to history of the past, and keeps the same high quality of enthusiasm the first book showed.

The period covered is from 3,500 B.C., to 146 B.C., and includes all known facts on Crete down to the coming of Roman invasion and conquest of Greek civilization. It all ties in with problems of today, and throws light on them through the Greek solutions of them.
