This book was written to fill some of the teaching needs listed above, and to serve as a textbook for a course giving first exposure to radar principles. Its topics are designed to meet the author's perceived need for a teaching textbook covering the fundamental principles on which radar is based. However, the book is limited in scope in order that its content be suitable for courses of not more than two semesters. The depth of topics was chosen to be typical for a graduate-level initial course sequence in these basic principles.
