Throughout the three editions of my more comprehensive text, Genetics: A Conceptual Approach,my goal was to help students concentrate on the big picture of genetics. In writing Genetics Essentials, I wanted to continue to use key concepts to guide students in mastering genetics, but with a more focused approach.
