Документы Пентагона (англ. Pentagon Papers) — общепринятое название сборника «Американо-вьетнамские отношения, 1945—1967: Исследование» (United States-Vietnam Relations, 1945—1967: A Study), предназначавшегося для внутриведомственного использования в министерстве обороны США, однако частично обнародованного американской прессой в 1971 году во время Вьетнамской войны.

Создание сборника было начато в 1967 году по инициативе министра обороны США Роберта Макнамары. К проекту были привлечены армейские офицеры, гражданские политологи и историки. Общей целью было написание истории принятия американским правительством решений по индокитайскому вопросу, включая решения непосредственно в ходе войны. Работа состояла из 7000 страниц (более половины которых занимали различные документы) и не предназначалась для обнародования в ближайшем будущем.

Документы Пентагона стали доступны общественности благодаря аналитику госдепартамента США Дэниелу Эллсбергу. Разочаровавшись во Вьетнамской войне, Эллсберг при увольнении с работы сумел тайно скопировать часть сборника. Он попытался предложить эти материалы настроенным против войны членам Конгресса, а когда эта попытка провалилась, предоставил их известному своей критикой политики США во Вьетнаме журналисту Нейлу Шихану. В июне 1971 года газета Шихана «Нью-Йорк Таймс» начала публикацию документов Пентагона, что вызвало значительное недовольство администрации Никсона. В документах указывалось, что администрация предыдущего президента Джонсона намеренно предпринимала акции по эскалации войны, несмотря на заверения самого Джонсона о том, что США не стремятся к её расширению.

Дело о публикации документов дошло до Верховного Суда США, который постановил, что американские газеты имеют право их публиковать. Обнародование документов Пентагона усилило недоверие американского общества к высшим властным структурам, а сами документы использовались антивоенным движением как ещё одно свидетельство неискренности американского правительства в вопросе войны во Вьетнаме.

К настоящему моменту полная версия документов Пентагона остаётся засекреченной.
