There are 106 full color pages of the items with the details explained from page 130 to the end of the book. A 12th century silver chalice, the helmet of Ivan the Terrible's son, and mail worn by Boris Gudunov are displayed. Russian curators provided the text covering the history of icons and Russian churches within the walls of the Kremlin. There are 26 pages of icons, 46 of gold and silversmith items (about half are religious), 10 pages of arms and armor, 4 of ceremonial equestrian accessories, 4 of textiles and needlework, and 14 pages of western European silver. The book is intended for people who like these traveling exhibitions of historical decorative arts. These are the types of items displayed in Russian churches and museums even outside of Moscow.
