The sudden unexpected death of a baby in the crib is surely one of the most heartbreaking tragedies for the family and for society. Everyone who reads this book has always to keep in mind that crib death is the leading form of death in otherwise healthy babies within the first year of life. Most of the people and even physicians underestimate the frequency of this problem and do not know how devastating its consequences are. The sudden unexpected death of a baby is so out of order with the sequence of life that there has been no preparation.
