A companion volume to the author's Elegant Stitches, this "embroidery idea book" is a collection of stitches useful for crazy-quilt and other stitchery projects.

A major section of the book is devoted to flower shapes and stitches one might use to create them.

the Victorian velvet pansy or a cast-on stitch for the petals; and the fly-stitch leaf or circle buttonhole stitch for the leaves.
