Marvel Encyclopedia Vol. 5 leads off with a selection of seven chapters that discuss the comics history of Daredevil, Blade, Ghost Rider and the Punisher, as well as chapters devoted to the movie projects for each of those characters. There is also a chapter dealing with toys and merchandising of Marvel Knights characters. Then following is three sections of "A to Z" encyclopedia materials, with pages that give a basic history of the universes of Daredevil, the Punisher, and Ghost Rider and Blaze. Data includes biographical information such as secret identity, first appearance, height, weight, eye color and hair color; a breakdown on powers and weapons used by the character; and a power ratings grid that measures their intelligence, strength, speed, durability, energy projection and fighting skills. Interspersed with the text material are heavy doses of previously released artwork from today's hottest Marvel artists.
